And it's not even Valentine's day (and yes, those are dominoes on a poker table). Amazing. You are amazing, JM.

Dreaming about Blogging

I just woke up from what could be considered the best nap I've had in a very long time--I'm talking about the drooling nap that feels soooooo good! I fell asleep on my couch watching Notting Hill (one of my favorite chick flicks of all time) at some ridiculous time like 8 pm. (If you'd seen the amount of wine consumption last night, you would understand). The best part about the nap was the dream I had...

I dreamt that my friend Matt, back in Indiana, challenged me to a blogging duel. Weird, right? It was simple: each person was to write a blog and the person who had the greatest number of hits that day won. When I got a text message at 10pm (oh, how I smile) and woke up, I was ahead in the challenge by my three word blog:

Big Ass Titties.

And I hadn't even had any NyQuil...

Retail Therapy

I will be the first to admit it--I am not a shopper. I get cranky and snippy and all I want to do is be left alone. Take note, if I say that I'm going to the mall, steer clear. Do not pass go, do not collect $200, and DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT offer to come with me. That is, of course, unless you want to tell me exactly how I look in everything that I put on. Of course, this all changes when 1) I have money and 2) I have gift cards.

That being said, I had a complete shit day at work today--complete with a bitch-slap from a student and him breaking the skin in 3 places on the back of my hand because I was required to get his coat off before he went into the Time-Out Room....then another student kicked me and bit me in the afternoon. I had a cami to return and a gift card to Macy's all from Christmas and needed to get something done with them. So, I went off to the mall to see what I could come up with. Cami exchanged (with a few minor purchases on the side (I'm quite excited to wear the new sweater and slacks...the track pants are on as I type), I headed to Macy's to check out the shoe collection.

Below are the shoes that I purchased, thanks to the 15% off coupon from mom and the gift card from my brother and sister-in-law. I was so in love with them that when I came home, I prepared my food for tomorrow's dinner (I am sooooo ahead of the game!) I wore them with my track pants. This, my friends, is how big of a dork I am.

Did you know...

...that the movie "The Pursuit of Happyness" pretty much sucks ass? And that it costs $20 drive for 10 minutes at the Go-Cart place in Boise? And that El Gallo Giro in Boise is just a great as the one in Kuna? And that "Office Space" is just as funny the 5th time you see it was the first? I found all of this out today. Thanks JM.

Relaaaaaaaaaaaaax

Over the weekend, I've been house sitting for some friends of mine, Kristin and Jesse, in Kuna, Idaho. Kuna is a podunk little town with little to its name, so I though I wasn't thrilled to be watching some dogs and a cat in the middle of nowhere, I was happy to help out Kristin and Jesse while their twins are born (hooray for Halle and Bella being born!). I got here on Friday night and have done nothing but catch up on some much needed R & R. I've managed to watch what seems like a million movies (Kristin and Jesse have an amazing collection) that I would probably never rent (I'm talking the girliest of girly movies) and eat a chile relleno that could possibly go down in the records for being the best chile relleno I've ever had--thank you El Gallo Giro! And though I have dog hair on every inch of clothing that I brought over here, I've had the pleasure of sharing this lovely house with Bailey, Cisco, and Hannah--the comfort of having the animals around was enough to make up for the hair. I'm ready to get back to my own apartment and finish getting my art on the wall, books put away, and my cooking/exercise regimine underway, but there's a small part of me that will miss this house and the pets!

(The best news of this stay is that I just found out that one can find El Gallo Giro in Boise as well as Kuna...mmmmmm.....)
